A Media History: 1994 - 2006 Wild Duck Review, a literary journal, was first published in 1994 and distributed throughout Northern California. Over time, WDR began focusing on issues of ecological and cultural importance. Its circulation grew to 48 states and 13 countries.   Literature Alive!, a reading series in Nevada City, California, featured local and visiting writers from all over the West. Wild Duck Review served as its print complement 1994-1996, offering poetry, essays, and in-depth interviews in advance of performances.   Made Not Born: The Troubling World of Biotechnology, published by Sierra Club Books, is the nineteenth issue of WDR reprinted in its entirety. Made Not Born is still in print, distributed by University of California Press.   The Institute for Inquiry (IFI), a 501c3 non-profit organization, presents a new generation of journalism that forefronts physical, biological, and cultural life. Using an innovative inquiry model, IFI produces news media with a participatory, global network.   A Wireless Age? is the first on-line inquiry to be launched at InstituteforInquiry.org. It pursues questioning across five sections: Context, Questions, Research, People/Places, Creative Works.   IFI plans to publish Wild Duck Review—a companion newsprint journal featuring selected interviews, essays, articles, literary works, and photography from each inquiry.
